The University of Jordan announced today, October 18, 2024, that it has achieved ninth place in the Arab world and first locally in the QS Arab University Rankings 2025.This achievement confirms the university's status as one of the leading educational institutions in the Arab world.The university recorded a noticeable improvement in the total score this year, rising by four points compared to last year, demonstrating its commitment to continuous development.In the area of employer reputation, the University of Jordan made a significant leap, ranking third in the Arab world, advancing two positions from last year, placing it among the top 1% of Arab universities in this criterion.University President Dr. Nazeer Obaidat stated that the university's ranking among the top ten Arab universities confirms its status as a leading educational institution in the region committed to providing high-quality education and purposeful scientific research.Obaidat added that the improvement in employer reputation reflects the excellence of the university's graduates in the labor market, emphasizing that this achievement results from a continuous focus on developing academic programs in line with labor market demands, integrating essential employability skills into educational curricula, and emphasizing language, digital, soft skills, and profession-specific skills related to each program offered by the university.He noted that this success is not limited to the Arab region; the university ranked 197th globally in employer reputation and 110th globally in employment outcomes according to the QS World Rankings 2025, announced last June, reflecting the prestigious global reputation of the university's graduates.Obaidat continued that the excellence of the university's graduates in international exams, such as the USMLE for medical students and other global exams in various disciplines, enhances their superiority on the global stage.On another hand, the university achieved sixth place in the Arab world for academic reputation, placing it among the top 2% of Arab universities in this criterion. This is attributed to the excellence of the faculty members and researchers at the university, who are graduates of the world's top universities and demonstrate their competence and distinction in the fields of research, education, and administration both regionally and globally.In terms of website impact, the university made significant progress by ranking fourth in the Arab world, advancing four positions compared to last year. This improvement is due to the rich content provided on the university's website, including comprehensive information about scientific research, research groups, and academic resources available to students and researchers.The distinction of the University of Jordan is not limited to the Arab region; it is noteworthy that the university ranked 368th globally in the QS World University Ranking 2025, showcasing its prominent status as one of the leading universities worldwide.Additionally, the university excelled in the QS World Rankings by Subject 2025, achieving advanced positions in five classified scientific fields, and ranking among the top 500 universities globally in 17 out of 19 specific disciplines.It is mentioned that the QS Arab Ranking is based on ten main criteria, including academic reputation, employer reputation, quality of education, as well as the volume and impact of scientific research, and international standards that assess the university's global influence.
