School of Nursing Dean meets with the new students

The Dean of the School of Nursing at the University of Jordan, Dr. Areej Othman, met today with the newly admitted students in the Bachelor of Nursing program for the 2024/2025 academic year, aiming to strengthen communication between the faculty administration and its students.Dr. Othman welcomed the new students and congratulated them on their acceptance into the School of Nursing at the University of Jordan. She praised their excellence in the high school exams, which enabled them to gain admission to this distinguished faculty, accredited both locally and internationally, and ranked among the top nursing faculties globally. The School is recognized as one of the best in the country and region and is ranked among the top 100 worldwide according to the QS World University Rankings. She wished them a successful academic journey filled with perseverance, excellence, and achievement in the coming years.
The Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, Teacher Iman Al-Hourani, renewed her congratulations to the students on their acceptance into the Bachelor of Nursing program. In her speech, she emphasized the importance of consulting the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs and academic advisors to provide guidance, academic advice, and solutions to any problems they may face. This is to ensure the smooth progress of the educational and professional process and to guarantee that students are directed correctly while obtaining information from its official and accurate sources.The student representative of the college's student union, Ibrahim Al-Zboun, delivered a welcoming speech in which he highlighted the commitment of the student representatives in the union to serving their peers through activities and initiatives. He stressed that they are dedicated to conveying the students' voices to the administration, acting as a link between the students and the college and university administration.During the meeting, the revised Bachelor’s program plan, which was implemented at the start of the 2024/2025 academic year, was presented. This plan was developed in response to local and global changes, focusing on preparing graduates for the job market by equipping them with language, communication, and soft skills in addition to professional skills within their field of specialization. The importance of following the advisory plan, which was designed in response to global changes and technological skills, was emphasized.Dr. Hamza Al-Duraidi, the coordinator of the Curriculum and Course Equivalency Committee at the Faculty of Nursing, presented the key points of the currently approved study plan.
