Child and adolescent Health nursing
section in the school carried out Healthy day at the University Nursery on Wednesday 28/11/2018.
The activity targeted nursery nannies and mothers’ children and included
lecture about how to deal with children in cases of high temperature, chocking
and seizures, and training about
cardiopulmonary resuscitation of infants and children. During the day, students took growth
measurements of children (height, weight and head circumference) and documented
the results on children health cards.
For children aged 3 and 4 years old, student
applied training sessions about correct practices of hand hygiene and teeth
brushing. Also, they taught children about healthy diet through a play that was
demonstrated in an attractive style.
