The Maternal Child Health Nursing Department
The Maternal and Child Health Nursing Department was established in 1998. The department includes two sections: Maternal Health Nursing and Child and Adolescent Health Nursing. It is devoted to promoting the health and well-being of mothers and children.
The department is committed to teaching evidence-based nursing care and works collaboratively to conduct research that addresses questions and solves problems in the field of maternal and child health nursing. The department continuously strives to expand its expertise and knowledge by engaging in regional and international activities, including conducting, attending, and participating in national, regional, and international conferences, as well as reviewing research papers for highly esteemed international nursing journals.
Faculty members in this department believe that maternal health is the foundation of family well-being and, consequently, essential to the overall wellness of the Jordanian community.
The department members are active in teaching both the theory and practice of nursing, conducting research, and providing community services. They are also active participants in conferences, workshops, and symposia locally and abroad, and most take advantage of various research and academic exchange programs between the University and other international academic and health institutions.
