Prof. Inaam Khalaf

     "I earned my Ph.D. in Parent-Child Health Nursing from New York University in 1989, my Master's degree in Advanced Education in 1985, and a graduate from the school of Nursing at the University of Jordan in 1981. I am an expert in child health, curriculum building, evaluation, and accreditation of nursing and higher education programs. I have been working as a faculty member in the School of Nursing at the University of Jordan since 1989. I taught thousands of students in undergraduate and graduate programs. I did supervise more than 20 students in their Ph.D. dissertations.  
     I served in different administrative positions: currently the Vice President for the Scientific Schools at the University of Jordan, Previously I served as the Dean of School of Nursing, the Dean for graduate studies and research, and a Vice President, at Al- Ahaliyya Amman University. At the School of Nursing at the University of Jordan, I served as the Dean, Vice Dean, Chairperson of the Maternal Child Health Nursing Department, and the Assistant Dean.
     I served as a board member in the Higher Education Council, Jordanian Nursing Council, the Board of trustees of many Universities, and a member of the Jordanian higher youth council. A member of the Recognition of none Jordanian Universities committee at the Higher Education Ministry.
     I am the first Professor in Child Health Nursing in Jordan. My evaluation for the promotion to professor rank done by international reviewers was the highest since establishing the grading system at the University (4.72 out of 5) up to 2011. I published mostly in high impact factor international Journal, many of my publications were funded through national and international grants and my publications are highly cited. I am a member of the editorial board and a reviewer for many national and international Journals. I developed the first Jordanian Data Base for Nursing Research http://jdnr.ju.edu.jo/home.aspx​
     I worked as a consultant for many national and international institutions such as USAID, WHO, UNFPA, Johns Hopkins University\ Population Communication – Amman branch, JICA, Ministry of Health, the National Population Council, the National Council for Family Affairs, Ministry of Education, the work included programs accreditation, curriculum building, strategic planning, quality management, training nurses and physicians, primary health care and care of children. I served as the chairperson of many accreditation and quality assurance committees to accredit many universities and programs.
     I awarded Princess Muna Medals Award for Excellence in nursing education and research in 2009, Zaianb Awards for Management and Leadership for women in the Educational Profession (2019). The Distinguished Research Award- from the Scientific Society of Arab Nursing Faculties 2016. The awards for the "distinguish research for 2004-2005 and 2010-2011– UJ". I am a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI) Honor Society of Nursing. "
