Prof. Wafika A. M. Suliman/ Thaher

​     Wafika has occupied the position of the Dean of several Nursing colleges at universities in Jordan and in Saudi Arabi: Namely: The College of Nursing at Isra University, Amman-Jordan in 2020-2021; the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences at Al-Isra University in Amman-Jordan in 2018-2020. The College of Nursing at Al-Ahlyya Amman University, Jordan in 2017. The College of Nursing-Jeddah (CON-J) at King Saud Bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences since its establishment in June 2006 till Aug. 2009. The College of Nursing in Riyadh (CON-R) between 2002 and 2006, under the same University.
      Prof. Wafika has authored and co-authored several publications in Nursing from 1990 up to present. Her academic profile states that she had her: Ph.D., Nursing Science, from the University of Illinois, Chicago, USA in 1988; M.Sc, Nursing Health Service Administration, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA in 1984; B.Sc, Nursing, University of Jordan in 1977.
Previous to joining Al-Isra University, Al-Ahlyya Amman University, CON-R and CON-J in Saudi Arabia, Prof. Wafika has established the Scientific Association of Arab Nursing Colleges whilst Dean of College of Nursing at AlZaytoona University of Jordan between 1997 – 2001.
Prof. Wafika was the first Jordanian dean of the college of Nursing at the University of Jordan (the mother university). She was among the first five Jordanian who obtained their PhDs in the field of nursing.
     Prof. Wafika had written, published and co-published several articles in various Scientific Journals, and she participated in many conferences, workshops and seminars in several countries all over the world (i.e., Iceland, Vancouver, Japan, Australia, United Kingdome, United Sates of America, Slovenia, Athena, Singapore, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Dubai, and Qatar).
