Guest Speaker Lecture about Sexually Transmitted and Genetic Diseases at the Faculty of Nursing

 
The Faculty of Nursing cordially hosted Dr. Assad Rahal - the director of the National Program to Fight AIDS in the Ministry of Health - provided a valuable lecture to the third-year nursing students about sexually transmitted and genetic diseases.

The lecture was organized by Dr. Eman Abu Sabbah and Mrs. Khadija El-Desoki and within the practical training for the Reproductive Health course.  
 
The main purpose of the lecture was to inform the nursing students on the latest developments related to the sexually transmitted diseases, as well as make them aware of the extent of their danger to human health, according to the experiences of experts and specialists in this field.
 
Dr. Rahal spoke during the lecture about the types and methods of sexual diseases transmission, their symptoms, and possible ways to remedy them, he also elaborated on the accurate diagnosis of AIDS, caused by HIV virus, its stages, primitive symptoms, and recommendations to prevent it and reduce the possibility of its spread in a community.
 
In conclusion, a discussion opened with the students, where their questions and inquiries were answered.
