Healthy Day in the University Nursery

Children and adolescents Health Nursing/ Clinical Section in school organized an open healthy day on Monday 10/4/2017 in the University nursery that included several activities related to health aspects of infants and children aged one year to four years.

The purpose of this activity is to educate nannies, nursery staff and mothers about the developmental characteristics of infants and children aged one to four years, the appropriate health care interventions for children with high temperature, choking, and seizures, and to train them on cardiopulmonary resuscitation for infants and children

The activity included health education lectures, clinical demonstration, and clinical training for nannies and mothers on the appropriate health care interventions for children chocking, seizures, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation that held by students and faculty members. Also, the activity included teaching and training sessions for children aged 3-4 years about correct methods of brushing teeth and washing hands.  In addition, the students assessed growth parameters of children by measuring height, weight and head circumference and documented that the on the health files of children.
