Driven by the vision and mission at the Faculty of Nursing and its dedication to communicate with the Jordanian community and improve the health and wellbeing of individuals in smaller local communities, the University and Community Committee had organized a free health fair in the rural areas of Jerash province on 11.29.2015.
This initiative comes as one of various activities within the "White Hands" campaign. The University and Community Committee carry out the campaign each semester since the Faculty of Nursing launched it in 2011.
Through its activities, the campaign aims at providing free and voluntary based community services to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities across the Kingdom.
The health fair activities, which took place at Al-Mastabah School-Jerash, were jointly provided by some of the best nursing faculty members, clinical instructors, and nursing students, and under the supervision Mrs. Taghreed Shawashi, chair of the Committee. 
This initiative comes in cooperation with the King Hussein Cancer Center (Jordan Breast Cancer Program) and the Directory of the Drugs Crime National Force.The activities of the event were well received by the teachers and students at the Al-Mastabah School.
The activities included: Establishing a school clinic, Health and developmental screening of elementary school students, educative sessions on breast self exam and psycho-physiologic changes of adolescence to high and secondary school students, first aids and CPR training to the students and the school teachers, and finally, empower the students on how to say: "NO to DRUGS".
